Terms of Service
Draft — pending legal review before public launch
This page is a placeholder outline, not a finished terms of service agreement. It exists so every footer link resolves during the beta build. A reviewed agreement will replace this page before Passage is open to the public.
What we collect
Using Passage during the beta means you are trusting us with family history data you choose to upload — names, dates, places, relationships, documents, and photos. The full terms will describe exactly what is collected and why.
How we use it
Your family's data is used only to operate the service for your family account. Passage does not sell family tree data, and the platform makes zero AI calls — bring-your-own-AI features run through your own connected Claude or ChatGPT account via MCP. Final terms on acceptable use, liability, and service levels are pending legal review.
Your data, your control
You can export your full family tree (GEDCOM/GEDZIP) at any time. If a subscription lapses, the tree moves to a read-only archive state rather than being deleted — you can still sign in, view, and export it, free, forever.
