This page is a placeholder outline, not a finished privacy policy. It exists so every footer link resolves during the beta build. A reviewed policy will replace this page before Passage is open to the public.

What we collect

Account details you provide (name, email), the family tree data you choose to import or enter, and basic usage information needed to operate the service. This section will be filled in with the exact data categories, retention periods, and legal bases before launch.

How we use it

To provide the family tree workspace, keep your data secure, and communicate with you about your account. Passage does not sell family tree data. The bring-your-own-AI (MCP) connector sends data only to the AI provider you personally connect — Passage itself makes no AI calls. Final language on third-party processors, cookies, and data-sharing practices is pending legal review.

Your choices and export

You can export your full family tree (GEDCOM/GEDZIP) at any time, including after a subscription lapses. Details on deletion requests and data portability will be finalized here before public launch.
